Course information
The NEBOSH International General Certificate is designed for managers, supervisors and people with health and safety responsibilities. It is also a strong starting point for anyone planning a career in occupational health and safety.
The qualification develops practical knowledge that can be applied in workplaces around the world. Learners build the skills needed to:
The current qualification is assessed in two parts. GIC1 is a scenario-based open-book examination with a closing interview. GIC2 is a practical workplace risk assessment and action plan.
There are no formal entry requirements. Learners need a suitable standard of English to understand the syllabus and clearly explain the concepts covered by the qualification.
